A lifted Subaru Forester on a washed-out Kananaskis access road usually finds its first rock with the front of the engine cradle, right where the oil pan hangs lowest. The ADF Engine Skid Plate is laser cut and formed aluminum that bolts to the factory mounting points and covers the oil pan and front underbody. It is offered for every generation from 1998 onward: 1998-2002, 2003-2008, 2009-2013, 2014-2018 with a separate XT version, 2019-2024 and 2025-2026, with the 2025-2026 plate also fitting the Forester Hybrid. The newest option is a 3/16-inch 5052 aluminum plate for the 2026+ Forester Wilderness, with side protection gussets, ventilation holes and an oil drain access plate so an oil change does not mean dropping the whole plate.
