Subaru Forester
Forester owners heading down Alberta forest service roads usually want more tire sidewall than the stock wheel allows, and the right Boxer size depends on which generation is in the driveway. Older Foresters on 5x100 hubs get the most choice: 15x7, 16x7 or 17x8 for the 1998-2013 years, and 16x7 or 17x8 for 2014-2018. Newer models run 5x114.3, so the 2019-2024 and 2025-2026 options use the 17x8 +40mm wheel drilled for that pattern. Every Boxer is cast aluminum in Gun Black, with the 15 and 16 inch sizes at +15mm to leave room for a wider all-terrain tire. Turbo XT models from 2004-2013 carry larger front brakes, so check caliper clearance before choosing 15 inch, and plan on hub-centric rings for the 56.1mm hub on the Forester.
